Second Suspicious Device Discovered Hours After Control Explosion in London

The second device has been found at a Jewish boarding school

A UK bomb squad effectively carried out a controlled explosion of a suspicious device found this morning in Enflied, North London. A bag was found at 8.32am outside a Café Nero coffee shop on the High Street.

A second device as now been exploded in Gateshead on the grounds of a Jewish boarding school. The children and staff have been evacuated from the Tiferes Yisroel Jewish Boarding School and neighbours in nearby homes have been escorted from their houses.

Police have cordoned off Gladstone Terrace, in Bensham, Gateshead, after the package was discovered at the rear of the school, close to the children’s dormitories.

They are warning other residents to stay indoors, while the bomb squad deals with the package. Additional police officers have been deployed to the scene to manage the public.
