Unless you were lucky enough to stay in bed today, you will have noticed that it's very wet.
Widespread wet conditions have caused disruption to traffic and our general mood. Although the rain will stop in some places, it's still going to be very heavy and thundery in certain areas, with the possibility of hail.
A status yellow rainfall warning is in place for Cork and Kerry today. Met Éireann has said:
"Heavy rain or thundery showers will occur at times overnight and during Thursday leading to accumulations of 25 to 40mm in places."
The warning is in place until 8 o'clock this evening.
It's going to clear up on Friday morning with some dry sunny spells but the rain will return in the afternoon in the southwest and will gradually spread to the northeast in the evening.
