The Royals are here.

Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla Parker-Bowles are having the craic on our beautiful emerald isle this week.

The State Opening of Parliament is the formal start of the parliamentary year. This year's Queen's Speech, setting out the government's agenda for the coming session, is expected to outline policy on prison reform, tuition fee rises and reveal the potential site of a UK spaceport. He began his trip in Belfast, where toured the Centre for Secure Information Technologies at the Institute of Electronics, Communications and Information Technology at Queen’s University Belfast.

He will be joined on Tuesday by his wife, the Duchess of Cornwall and they are due to visit Northern Ireland.

The couple will travel together to the Republic, visiting Donegal, Letterkenny, and Glenveagh Castle this week for individual visits.

The last time the couple visited Ireland was 2015, when the Prince toured Mullaghmore in Co. Sligo – where his great-uncle Lord Mountbatten was murdered by the IRA in 1979.

It’s not been yet confirmed if they’ll be chugging down the Guinness like our friend Obama once did, but keep your eyes peeled for the royal pair this week.
