At the moment, we have very few details on what has actually happened on Baggot Street but it seems that a manhole has exploded. Currently it seems that this is a gas explosion.
Thankfully, no one appears to be injured and the fire brigade are on the scene. Eoin Ó Súilleabháin was on the scene at the time of the explosion and tweeted the following.
