UPDATE – The incident on Dame Street has ended and the man in question, who was on top of one of the buildings, is now safe and well.
Earlier, there were massive disruptions on Dame Street as emergency services were called to Abercrombie & Fitch with reports that a man was on top of the building. The street had been closed to deal with the incident.
Gardaí were called to Dame Street and cleared the streets.
A number of people have been tweeting from the scene.
