That cold weather isn’t going away in a hurry lads.
It’s been a hectic week with regards to the weather, and it’s looking like it’s set to continue for the time being.
Met Éireann has just issued a fresh weather warning for 11 counties, those being all of Connacht, as well as Cavan, Monaghan, Donegal, Dublin, Louth and Wicklow.
The Status Yellow snow and ice warning, which was updated at 12.30 on Wednesday afternoon will be valid from 8pm on Wednesday until 10am on Thursday.
It is expected to be icy in parts tonight with wintry outbreaks scattered across the country.
Snow accumulations are possible before tomorrow morning, mainly across the north and on higher ground elsewhere.
Motorists should be warned that disruption to travel is expected, as roads could be affected by the adverse weather conditions.
The weather is also expected to become “very unsettled”, with periods of heavy rain and very strong winds forecast across the country.
And sadly, it doesn’t stop there as the days go on…
It is predicted that Storm Dennis could become the second storm to hit Ireland in successive weekends. LEAVE US ALONE.
