New details have emerged about Omar Mateen.

The 29-year-old opened fire on a popular gay nightclub, Pulse, in Orlando Florida on Sunday killing 50 innocent people. His father confirmed that Mateen had committed the crime after seeing two men kissing in Miami.

But now it has transpired that Mateen had attended the club on numerous occasions prior to the attack and was using gay dating apps.

A number of regulars at the club told the Orlando Sentinel that he has visited the club a few times before the attack.

One person said, “Sometimes he would go over in the corner and sit and drink by himself, and other times he would get so drunk he was loud and belligerent.”

Other new outlets are reporting that Mateen had been visiting the club on and off for three years.

Another regular in the club, Kevin West, confirmed that Mateen had chatted with him for a year on a gay dating app. He’d reportedly also been using Grindr, Jack’d and Adam4Adam.
