More Weather Warnings for Ireland As Stormy Conditions Continue

Met Éireann has issued weather warnings across Ireland again this week, with warnings of flooding expected in coastal areas. A “status orange” wind warning was issued by the metrological service for Wexford, Galway, Mayo, Clare, Cork, Kerry, Limerick and Waterford. Strong south to southeast winds with gusts of 80 or 90km/h are expected and winds will strengthen later on in the evening with gale force developing, giving strong gusts of 100 to 120km/h. Met Éireann states that the danger of coastal floods continues and heavy thundery downpours may lead to flooding inland. A “status yellow” wind warning has also been issued for Cavan, Monaghan, Donegal, Dublin, Carlow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Longford, Louth, Wicklow, Offaly, Westmeath, Meath, Leitrim, Roscommon, Sligo and Tipperary with a risk of flooding and spot flooding.
