Baby Archie won't be a prince under Prince Charles' reign, and it turns out Meghan Markle was right in saying this all along. According to the Daily Mail, the Prince of Wales won't be making Archie a prince when he eventually takes over as King, but Meghan already knew this would happen. During her tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey earlier this year, the Duchess of Sussex said that the "idea of the first member of colour in this family not being titled in the same way that other grandchildren would be." “There’s a convention - I think it’s the George V or George VI convention - that when you’re the grandchild of the monarch, so when Harry’s dad becomes king, automatically, Archie and our next baby would become prince or princess." “It’s not their right to take away. Even with that convention I’m talking about, while I was pregnant, they said they want to change the convention for Archie. Well, why?” Many claimed that Meghan was lying when she made these claims, and that they can't be true, but with Charles now not allowing Archie to be a prince, it seems that Meghan was telling the truth this whole time. The Mail on Sunday revealed that Charles wants to limit the number of key royals, due to high costs, which means that Archie won't be considered as one. Charles has apparently told the Sussexes that he is changing key legal documents to make sure that Archie won't get a title at all, despite it usually being inherited at birth. A source told the Daily Mail: "Harry and Meghan were told Archie would never be a Prince, even when Charles became King."
