An Irish mother and her 7-year-old son have been found dead in their London home.

According to The Sun, Sinead Higgins and her son Oisin O’Driscoll were found by police on Wednesday morning.

Sinead, originally from Westport, was working on London as a nurse and had been for a number of years.

On December 10th, Sinead posted a worrying message to Twitter.

The tweet read: “The future looks very” followed by an emoji of a tornado.

Sineads neighbour Barbara discovered the two bodies.

She spoke to The Sun Online:

“I last saw Sinead on Sunday, she’d obviously been to Sainsbury’s and had a few bits in her bag. She didn’t talk, she had her head down.”

“I last spoke to her about a month ago for around an hour. She was desperate, she said everything was going wrong.”

“We had a chat and I said you need to go get help but she said no it’s all going to be sorted I’m OK now.”

Barbara says the mother was quiet and kept to herself.

“She spoke to me and I think one other neighbour.”

“I just can’t believe she’s gone.”

Homicide inspector Dave Bolton says that it is unlikely that the incident involved a third party.

“The investigation is at a very early stage but enquiries so far lead us to believe there is a likelihood that the tragic events that led to the deaths do not involve a third party.”

“We are appealing to anyone who has any information to come and speak with us,” he said.
