The Mayo man has not been seen since April 2nd
The family and friends of a missing Mayo man are urging the public to help with their search.
38-year-old George Brennan has been missing for over two weeks.
According to reports, he was last seen in Ballycastle, Co Antrim, on April 2nd.
However, Mr. Brennan has not been seen or heard from since the beginning of the month.
He was last seen on CCTV in a Spar shop on Moyle Road in Ballycastle, Co. Antrim.
His loved ones believe he may have travelled onwards from Ballycastle by hitchhiking, on foot, or on public transport.
George Brennan has been described as 6’2, 100kg and has brown hair and blue eyes.
He was wearing a black zip-up top, dark jeans, runners, and was carrying a blue hiking backpack when he was last seen.
Mr. Brennan is an avid hiker and sea swimmer, and his loved ones fear he may have gotten into difficulty during one of these activities.
His family said this disappearance is completely out of character, and they’re concerned for the Mayo man’s well-being.
A family spokesperson shared:
“We are heartbroken and desperate for any news. George is deeply loved, and we just want to know that he is safe.
“We urge anyone who may have seen him, spoken with him, or has any information – no matter how small – to come forward.”
Both the PSNI and Garda Síochána are investigating his disappearance.
