A Garda spokesperson told multiple outlets that the collision occurred on Wednesday (1 April) at the junction of Abbey Street and O'Connell Street in Dublin 1.
Gardai and emergency services are said to be currently at the scene.
Abbey Street reportedly remains closed, with road users being asked to avoid the area due to delays.
Luas has also said that its Red Line services are currently not operating between Smithfield and Connolly/The Point.
"Service is operating between Tallaght/Saggart & Smithfield only. This is due to a non-Luas-related incident," the spokesperson added.
"Luas tickets are valid on Dublin Bus."
