A man has reportedly been shot by police after he stabbed a number of people in the city of Turku, Finland.
The incident took place in the city's Puutori-Market Square area this afternoon, where witnesses reported hearing gunshots and seeing a man lying on the ground.

'Several people stabbed in central Turku. People are requested to avoid the city centre,' tweeted the South-West Finland police earlier.
As yet there is no official confirmation of the extent of the casualties or the number of victims.
