A couple of months ago, I had a skin scan and mesotherapy at the SkinGlow Clinic in Dún Laoghaire. During my consultation, skincare guru Sara suggested adding a toner to my skincare routine.
I'm always hesitant about adding new products to my routine. Still, Sara explained that a toner would help my acne-prone skin by fighting inflammation to prevent pimples, as well as soften acne scars.
However, finding a toner that didn't irritate my skin was tricky, until a recent trip to my local Boots. I recently picked up the Boots Traditional Glycerin and Rosewater, and it is one of the best skincare products I've bought in years.
This toner is ideal if you have sensitive or acne-prone skin, and it will cost you less than your daily cup of coffee.
The Boots Traditional Glycerin and Rosewater is a cooling, refreshing toner that softens and moisturises the skin.
The product is gentle on my sensitive skin and has helped soothe my acne in the mornings and evenings. I look forward to applying it and know my sensitive skin is being soothed with every use.
I apply the product with a bamboo cotton pad in the morning and evening before my serums and moisturiser. It has only been a couple of days, but I've already noticed less redness and irritation, which is always welcome.
I found my skin always felt dry and tight after a day in the office, the office air zapping it of any moisture, but this toner has helped tackle that issue. Yesterday, I noticed my makeup was still intact, and my skin still felt dewy at the end of the work day.
For €3.49, this sensitive skin-friendly toner is a total steal, and a skincare product I wish I discovered sooner.
I apply the toner to my skin in the morning and evening using reusable bamboo pads.
If you are tired of wasting money on disposable cotton pads, then these bamboo ones are a perfect, sustainable option.
