Donating to those in direct provision this Christmas is something we should all prioritise
Christmas is a time for giving and there are so many vital causes you should donate to this year including those in direct provision.
We often spend too much money on frivolous things, but that money could be used for much more valuable things like charities and those in need.
Direct Provision Donations has called on the public to make donations this Christmas.
They’re urging the public to make donations if possible this winter and have shared a list of items you can donate.
The items include:
- Toys
- Teddies
- Board Games
- Colouring/Paint Sets
- Gift Sets
- Shower Sets
- Chocolate
- Sweets
- New hats/scarves/gloves
The team said they’re running one big collection day on Sunday, December 8th this year.
“This year we are running one big collection day on Sunday 8th December where all donations can be delivered to the address above. See donations that will be accepted on our post and all to be new or in great condition.”
They confirmed: “We will be sending our donations to asylum seekers in direct provision centres across Ireland.”
Helping those in direct provision is essential this Christmas.
Donations can be made to 54 Pembroke Road, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4.
