Here’s what the weather looks like this coming week

There's no end in sight to the heatwave.

With various high-temperature weather warnings in place and an advisory notice issued for drought or near-drought conditions over the coming days, it's safe to say that nobody in Ireland has a breeze about what the hell is going on! Christ, we've never seen anything like this but we're not complaining. That's why the latest forecast from Met Éireann is music to our ears because it seems that the heatwave is showing no signs of stopping. Ok, what's in store? It's going to be clear tonight with lows of 8 degrees to 14 degrees. These warm conditions will extend into Tuesday because it's expected to be warm and sunny again with highs of 22 to 27 degrees. Tuesday night will be mostly dry with clear spells but there's expected to be a few showers near the south coast. Lowest temperatures of 11 to 15 degrees. Wednesday will be warm, sunny and dry apart from a slight risk of one or two isolated showers. Highest temperatures of 22 to 28 degrees with light variable breezes, warmest in Leinster. Thursday will be a cooler day though with a fair amount of cloud giving way to some sunny intervals. It will be mainly dry, but there may be a little patchy drizzle in the west and north. In the afternoon, there's also a risk of some showers in Munster and south Leinster. Highest temperatures ranging from 16 degrees in the northwest to 25 degrees in east Munster and south Leinster. Winds will be mostly light northwesterly in direction. Heading into the weekend and Friday should be dry with sunny spells and little or no wind. Highest temperatures of 18 to 24 degrees, coolest along coasts and warmest in the midlands. As for Saturday, it's time to stock up on the suncream because it's going to be warm and mainly dry with sunny spells with highest temperatures of 20 to 26 degrees. There's a chance of one or two isolated showers but they're expected to be brief. It will be coolest along the west coast and warmest in the east.  Sunday will continue warm and mainly dry with highest temperatures of 20 to 25 degrees. All in all, let the good times roll.
