Here’s how Kate and Will responded to Meghan and Harry’s engagement

Another royal wedding is on the cards.

Kensington Palace confirmed this morning that Prince Harry has become engaged to Meghan Markle. The couple, who have been dating for a year and a half, will tie the knot sometime in Spring 2018. Although it was widely expected and speculated on, the news was confirmed by Kensington Palace on Twitter.

They also shared how Prince William and Kate responded to the news:

"We are very excited for Harry and Meghan. It has been wonderful getting to know Meghan and to see how happy she and Harry are together."

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge said of the engagement: 'We are very excited for Harry and Meghan. It has been wonderful getting to know Meghan and to see how happy she and Harry are together.'

Meghan's parents also released a statement which read:

"We are incredibly happy for Meghan and Harry. Our daughter has always been a kind and loving person. To see her union with Harry, who shares the same qualities, is a source of great joy for us as parents. We wish them a lifetime of happiness and are very excited for their future together."
