Gatwick Airport suspend flights again after another suspected ‘drone sighting’

Gatwick Airport have suspended flights after another suspected drone sighting.

Flights were halted again this evening as a “precaution.”

Sky News reports that a spokesperson for the airport said: “We have currently suspended airfield operations as a precaution due to a suspected drone sighting.”

Services had resumed earlier today however delays and disruptions remained for flights leaving and arriving to the airport.

Over 100,000 people were affected by the disruption over the past few days when flight services halted from Wednesday night to early Friday morning.

The identity of the person or persons behind the disruption is not yet known.
