Gary Glitter has been found guilty of historical sex abuse against three young girls aged between 8 and 13.
According to the BBC, the former glam rock star was convicted of attempted rape, four counts of indecent assault and one of sexual intercourse with a girl under the age of 13.
70-year-old Glitter, who was charged under his real name Paul Gadd, was the first person arrested under Operation Yewtree.
The singer was acquitted of three other counts.
The jury of seven women and five men, who attended the trial at Southwark Crown Court, had been considering their verdicts since Wednesday.
Glitter now faces spending the remainder of his life in prison.
