The incident happened on Sunday.
Gardaí have launched an investigation after a car in Kildare was hijacked on Sunday morning with a woman still inside.
The car was taken from a car park of a Co-Op in Monasterevin and the woman, who was in the car at the time of the incident, managed to escape before the vehicle left the scene.
Thankfully, no injuries have been reported.
A garda spokesperson said: “Gardaí are investigating the unauthorised taking of a vehicle from the car park of a Co-Op in Monasterevin, Co. Kildare on Sunday, 15th May 2022.
“A female passenger was present in the vehicle during this incident. This passenger had exited the vehicle before it left the scene.
“No injuries reported and no arrests have been made at this time.
“Investigations are ongoing.”
