Gardaí appeal for information after recovering five parcel bombs sent from Ireland

An Garda Síochána is looking for anyone with any information to get in touch with them.

Today, Gardaí shared an image of an explosive package sent from Ireland to Heathrow. The package is one of five parcel IED (Improvised Explosive Devices) which were all posted and four delivered in March 2019. Three of the packages were delivered in London, one in Glasgow and one was returned to the Limerick Postal Centre. Gardaí have described the packages as "extremely dangerous" and that whoever posted them was doing a "reckless act" and could have potentially caused serious harm to people handling the packages.

Now, in a investigation, an Garda, the Met Police in London, Police Scotland and the PSNI are looking into the cases and ask any members of the public with information to step forward.
