The incident happened in Killowen Primary School, Lisburn.
Three people have been struck by lightning in Antrim, with two reportedly deemed critically injured.
According to the BBC, a 37-year-old man, his 5-year-old son and 7-year-old daughter were hit by a lightning strike.
It’s said the man and his son are currently in critical condition.
The man was rushed to Lagan Valley Hospital in Lisburn to be treated for his injuries, and the children were taken to the children’s Royal Hospital in Belfast to be treated for burns.
Northern Ireland Ambulance Service said they received a report at approximately 2pm that a man had been hit by lightning.
They warned that people should be wary and “remain very vigilant when they are out and about” as the possibility of oncoming thunderstorms is only to grow more likely.
According to Met Éireann, temperatures will remain warm for most of the week with risks of heavy showers and ‘unsettled’ weather predicted for the weekend ahead.
