ESB have issued an apology as over 2,000 homes were hit with power outages in the Co. Cork area this morning.
An electrical fault meant that over 2,200 homes and buildings were without power this morning, with ESB assuring that they are working on repairing the issue.
Carrigaline in Cork is the worst affected area, with smaller outages in Waterford, Westmeath, Sligo and Clare.
According to the Independent, power was lost at around 5am and should be restored at around 8:45am.
The ESB told customers: “We apologise for the loss of supply.
“We are currently working to repair a fault affecting your premises and will restore power as quickly as possible.”
