Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but the weather is going to take a dramatic change tomorrow in some areas.
Met Éireann has issued an orange weather warning for the midland, west and northwest areas.
They are warning people to expect, ‘intense thunderstorms’ throughout Bank Holiday Monday. They’re predicting ‘slippy roads, poor visibility, and local flooding’ which will lead to treacherous driving conditions.
They’ve said that locally heavy showers will develop in the north-midlands and northwest tonight. Then tomorrow the showers will continue to develop, with some turning thundery. Throughout the day, they showers will become heavy across the midlands, west and northwest.
Met Éireann are warning people to be careful on the roads as there could be spot flooding, as well as poor visibility and treacherous driving conditions.
On Tuesday, the rain will continue in some areas but it will be a warm day, with temperatures of around 20 degrees expected.
Wednesday is also expected to see temperatures above 20 degrees and some isolated showers.
