A dense fog in Dublin tonight has caused severe delays for planes due to land at Dublin airport.
The Dublin Airport Authority have confirmed that there have been five flight diversions as heavy fog persists.
The Independent reports that the planes were refuelling and will return to Dublin as soon as possible.
One Twitter user states his plane has been diverted to Cork. Another claims his flight has been redirected to Belfast.
Travellers are advised to keep in touch with their airlines in case of further delays.
