Two teenagers were rescued from the sea at Hook Head in Wexford this afternoon.
It is the believed that the pair were swept off the rocks and into the water due to rough conditions on the coast.
According to WLR fm, emergency services were alerted to the incident at around 2pm this afternoon, and the Waterford based Coastguard Helicopter Rescue 117 was launched.
Dunmore East RNLI Lifeboat was also launched.
The pair were then airlifted to Waterford Rugby Club and were taken from there to University Hospital Waterford by ambulance.
