A Jewish teacher has reportedly been stabbed in French city Marseille, by three people “who shouted ISIS slogans”.

The suspects reportedly wore ISIS badges and shouted anti-semetic and ISIS-supporting comments.

According to Reuters news agency, three people on two scooters, one of whom was wearing an Islamic state t-shirt, approached the history teacher and asked him if he was Jewish before the attack which happened at around 7pm on Wednesday evening (18th November).

Speaking to the publication, prosecutor Brice Robin said: “The three people insulted, threatened and then stabbed their victim in the arm and leg. They were interrupted by the arrival of a car and fled.”

Authorities confirmed that the teacher’s life is not in danger following the attack.

The incident comes as French security is on high alert following Friday night’s attacks in Paris which saw 129 killed.
