BREAKING: Irish Woman Among 28 People Reported Dead Following Attack On Hotels In Tunisia

UPDATE: 16.13 The Irish Times reports that an Irish woman is amongst the dead, now believed to number 28. According to the newspaper, the women is in her 50s and from the Robinstown area of Co Meath. The woman is understood to have been holidaying in the area with her husband, who has not been injured in the attack. Security measures are taken after an armed attack on a tourist hotel in Sousse, east Tunisia, left at least 28 people dead, including foreigners, and injured six others, on June 26, 2015.    At least 27 people are believed to have been killed following a reported terrorist attack on two hotels in Tunisia. According to the state-run TAP news agency, Tunisian officials reported earlier on that 19 people had died, some of whom were guests at Imperial Marhaba Hotel in Sousse. Sousse is said to be one of the main tourists areas, attracting visitors from all over Europe. According to Sky News, 27 people have been killed in the attack on two hotels in the region.
