An 18-year-old man has been charged with murder in Dundalk.
The accused was arrested last night and brought to a special sitting in Dundalk District Court.
He is due back in court next week after being charged last night with the murder of Japanese man, Yosuke Sasaki.
Crowds gathered outside Dundalk District Court last night as Gardaí escorted the man into the building.
The teenager was charged at 5.20pm, and was cautioned but made no reply.
According to The Journal, an interpreter was present, however the court heard that there is an issue with his nationality.
The judge also ordered that he should receive the medical and psychological treatment.
