Body Beautiful – Three New Beauty Buys to Try This Week

 

As much as we enjoy the odd splurge when it comes to beauty buys, our staple products are usually of the budget-friendly variety. NIVEA is a fail-safe must-have brand for great products at bargain prices, and our skin simply loves the content of that famous blue tin. Our bathroom shelves, however, are in love with the new look! For a limited edition release, NIVEA have collaborated with legendary British Fashion Designer, Giles Deacon. Deacon has created three beautifully illustrated pots featuring an exclusive design for the brand’s adored NIVEA Soft moisturising cream; Catwalk, featuring frocks and statement fashion icons on the catwalk, Backstage, which demonstrates the excitement backstage before the show begins, and Photoshoot, with models looking gorgeous in front of the camera and striking poses. White Musk Smoky Rose Collection, RRP from €11.95, The Body Shop

If you’re anything like most of Team Her.ie, chances are you owned a bottle of White Musk from The Body Shop in the 90s. One of the ultimate beauty buys of the decade, the scent still takes us back to a simpler time when your greatest life ambition was to convince Zack from Saved By the Bell to fall in love with you. Well, for the more mature you (who may or may not still fancy Mark Paul Gosselaar), The Body Shop has created a new scent that marries the classic with a smoky twist for a great new line. White Musk Smoky Rose is the bold new addition to the White Musk range. A floral/oriental scent with bergamot, pink pepper and blackcurrant, the range includes an Eau de Parfum, Eau de Toilette, fragrance mist, body lotion and bath and shower gel. 

 

Moisture Renew Lipstick Collection, €7.99, RIMMEL London

The entire office has been puckering up this week. Not on the hunt for kisses mind, just showing off our new lippies to each other. We’ve been trying out the new Moisture Renew Lipstick collection from RIMMEL London, and we’ve all decided that the good folks at RIMMEL have some big fans in this office. There are thirteen shades in the collection in all, so it’s really a something for everyone kind of release. As lovely as the colours are, though, it’s the formula that really has us impressed. Boasting vitamins A, C and E, the super-hydrating formula left our pouts feeling soft and well-moisturised all day long. Winner, particularly as we’ve been forced to turn up the central heating. Brrr.
