Say hello to First Feline.
The White House is the official residence and workplace of the president of the United States.
Located at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW in Washington, D.C., this impressive building has been the residence of every U.S. president since John Adams in 1800.
Right now, of course, the White House is home to President Joe Biden, and his wife – and First Lady – Dr Jill Biden.
The White House has also, as it turns out, been home to many pets over the years – including its very latest inhabitant – Willow the cat.

Yesterday, both the POTUS and FLOTUS took to their Instagram accounts to share the news that they have welcomes little Willow into the family – and may we say, she looks very at home already.
No stranger to pets, the Bidens first entered the White House with two German Shepherds, Major and Champ. Champ sadly died in June 2021 at the age of 13, and Major—the first shelter rescue to live in the White House—was relocated to a “quieter” home in December.
The couple has since welcomed another German Shepherd puppy, Commander, to the family.
And now it looks like Commander has gotten a four-legged friend to play with.

As it happens, the White House has been home to many pets over the years.
From horses and lizards to raccoons and squirrels, more than just dogs and cats have occupied the Oval Office.
During the victory speech of his first campaign, Barack Obama promised his daughters a puppy.
“Sasha and Malia,” he said. “I love you both so much, and you have earned the new puppy that’s coming with us to the White House.” Their first dog Bo, was a male Portuguese Water Dog.
George W. Bush also held office along with some four-legged friends, his dogs, Miss Beazley and Barney, as well as India, the cat.
Bill and Hillary Clinton also had a cat serve as First Pet of the United States – in the form of Socks, a black and white female cat.
Ronald and Nancy Reagan also have both cats and dogs in the White House, while the Kennedy family had a veritable menagerie, with birds, cats, rabbits, hamsters, and dogs of all ages. Caroline’ Kennedy also famously had a pony, Macaroni, while she lived at the White House.
