Beauty Fans – You Might Need One of These In Your Life

If you, (like most of team Her.ie), have a prediliction for purchasing beauty products and you have yet to walk out of a Boots store with only the item you went in for, chances are you’ll like this one.

We love hearing about Irish companies with great innovations set to make our lives easier, and if storage for all those beauty buys is a concern for you then let us introduce Her Clutterbox.

A simple idea, (all the best ones are), Her Clutterbox was born after one Irish man decided to create a practical but pretty Christmas gift for his other half, that would allow her to both display and tidy away her many beauty buys, but make the search for whichever one she wanted to hand

Speaking to Her.ie, the brains behind the operation Colin Devine told us:

“Like most girls, my girlfriend loves beauty products (a little too much!). However, she had nowhere to store everything neatly in one place so instead decided to use every room and table top she could find in the apartment for her 'clutter'. So enough was enough, I looked on the web and the only suppliers of acrylic make up boxes I could find were based in Australia and America but with crazy shipping costs.

“After finishing my industrial design degree 7 years ago I joined the family business, Design&Display, we design & manufacture retail displays for brands & retailers so I had the experience needed in manufacturing with different materials.

“The first Clutterbox I came up with was the large 6 drawer model, which I gave to my girlfriend as a present last Christmas, she uploaded a picture onto her Facebook and straight away got loads of likes and comments from friends asking her where she got it and where could they get one, so I realised there was an obvious demand and market for them.

“The website www.herclutterbox.com went live last April and since then the ClutterBox collection has grown to from one to five different ClutterBoxes including the new ‘Pretty in Pink’ ClutterBox. We are very excited about this as there is nothing like this out there at the moment, we plan to bring out a few more colours over the coming months and we’re already working a smaller version of the Pretty in Pink, which will also be available in different colours.

“Since the launch of the website, we have delivered to customers all over the Ireland, UK, Spain, even as far as the U.S, so the response has been really great. I have lots more designs and ideas that I am developing at the moment, but all in good time.”
