Auschwitz Memorial has issued a statement after it was criticised for installing showers outside the front of the concentration camp.
The museum introduced sprinklers in order to help visitors deal with the high temperatures in Poland however many people are outraged and have likened the showers to gas chambers.

This has led to the memorial releasing a statement on their Facebook page to explain the reasoning behind their decision.
It said: “Something had to be done, as we have noticed cases of faints among people and other dangerous situations.”
