Ariana Grande pays tribute to youngest Manchester victim on her birthday

The singer has marked what would have been Saffie Roussos’ ninth birthday.

Ariana Grande honoured the youngest victim of the Manchester terror attacks on her birthday following a concert in Buenos Aires last night. Taking to Instagram to share a picture from the night, the singer said: “Saffie, we’re [thinking] of you baby.”

Saffie was with her family at the concert when the Manchester Arena was attacked. The attack claimed the lives of 22 people including seven children. Speaking with the BBC on her birthday, Saffie’s father said:

"She was just everything you could wish for in a little girl. "She loved dancing, music, gymnastics. If she wanted something, she would do it. "[She loved] fame, stardom. "I knew that Saffie would love her pictures to be on, and to be spoken about on TV."

Saffie's older sister, Ashlee, who was also at the concert told BBC:

"She was Ariana Grande-obsessed, so to see how happy she was, it was just ... obviously I had to go with her."
