A victim of the Alton Towers crash who had to have her leg amputated below the knee has posted an inspirational photo message to Twitter.
Vicky Balch was trapped on The Smiler rollercoaster in the theme park with three other people including her boyfriend last month, resulting in serious injuries.
Undergoing surgery on her birthday to save her legs, the 20-year old later had to have her leg amputated below the knee on Friday.
Despite her life-changing injuries, Vicky posted an incredibly inspiring message to her Twitter account after meeting Major Kate Philip.
Major Philip, who had her leg amputated following a stint in Afghanistan, visited with Vicky and even told her how she has since trekked to the South Pole with Prince William.
Following their meeting, Vicky posted the message to her Twitter account:
Today I was inspired by a very amazing woman Major Kate Philp and I hope one day I can do the same for somebody else. pic.twitter.com/7liamRZBVD
