Be careful out there.
Whether you have to travel far for work, or you’re only a short distance away, AA Roadwatch has asked commuters to be careful on the roads due to the snow and ice weather warning.
Taking to Twitter, the traffic broadcaster said to be wary of “icy conditions” as “snow and slush may linger.”
Icy conditions this morning around parts of Leinster and Tipperary; snow or slush may also linger on higher ground. Caution advised. Full updates at https://t.co/PSzIBsvOzE pic.twitter.com/AAXlF0CgMo

The website states:
“Icy conditions have been reported this morning around Carlow Town, Naas, Portlaoise, Tullamore, Mullingar, Thurles, Kildare Town and Wicklow Town. A Status Yellow Snow-ice Warning is valid for the whole country until 8am today.
“Leave plenty of extra time to fully de-ice your car and in affected areas, slow down, leave plenty of of space behind the car in front and keep all manoeuvres gentle. Particular care is advised on secondary and local routes, and on higher ground, where snow and ice may linger.”
Meanwhile, last night Dublin Airport warned customers to make contact with airlines as there are delays to be expected.
.@DublinAirport is open & operational. Some airlines are experiencing delays to their flight schedules as a result of de-icing issues. Passengers are advised to check with their airline for latest flight updates. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
