The incident happened at Killala Road.
A 54-year-old man has been seriously injured following a shooting in Dublin on Sunday evening.
The man was reportedly out walking his dog in Cabra in Dublin at approximately 7.30pm when the incident occurred.
He was taken to the Mater Hospital where his condition is said to be serious.
The scene has been preserved for a technical examination and Gardaí are investigating.
