Callum Wareing, who stamped on his former girlfriend's head five times in a fit of rage, has avoided a prison sentence.
The 18-year-old from Wigan sent Jodie Walsh Turner a number of abusive Snapchat messages and threats, saying he would kill her "by smashing her head with a hammer".
It's believed that the incident occurred in May 2016 when Miss Turner blocked Wareing's number from her phone after they split up.
He allegedly rang her continually from an unknown number before turning up to her friend's house and physically attacking her, grabbing her hair and stamping on her head.
According to Wigan Today, Wareing denied the charge of assault by beating but after a four-hour trial, a guilty verdict was returned by the magistrates hearing the case.
Together with the suspended jail sentence, the teenager was ordered to pay Ms Turner £250 in compensation as well as a £120 victim surcharge in addition to working for 125 hours unpaid and rehabilitation activity requirements.
There is also a restraining order in place which forbids him from getting in touch with Ms Turner.
Jodie Turner, an 18-year-old nursery worker, has since taken to Facebook in a bid to help those who find themselves a victim of violent abuse, be that physical or verbal, at the hands of their partner.
She shared the emotional post together with a series of photos on her page, where it has received a massive reaction.
