An estimated 16 people have been hospitalised after a mass shooting in Bunny Friend Playground, New Orleans.
Police reports states hundreds of observers had gathered at the park to watch a music video being filmed. According to reports, a fight broke out between two groups.
Superintendent Michael Harrison said police were on the way to the unauthorised film set to close it down. About a block away, they heard gunshots and raced to the scene. Several ambulances were deployed to deal with the victims. It is believed all 16 victims are in stable condition.
Mayor Mitch Landrieu commented at a press conference later that evening. “At the end of the day it’s really hard to police against a bunch of guys who decide to pull out guns and settle disputes with 300 people between them,” he said.
