6 people are being treated in hospital this morning for smoke inhalation.
11 people were rescued in total after a blaze broke out at an apartment block in Tallaght overnight.
The fire broke out in a communal area of the block just off Cookstown Way at around 1.30am.
The Dublin Fire Brigade shared details on their Twitter account this morning,
11 people rescued (some from balcony) following a #Tallaght #fire. 6 to hospital for smoke inhalation, 7 units & 3 ambs attended #Dublin 1/2 pic.twitter.com/zx1sSBIbPM

Nobody was seriously injured and the fire has been extinguished. The cause of the blaze is still unknown and an investigation is now underway.
