Forget lazing about watching television, you want to get out on the road and do something memorable this month.
Here are a few suggestions…
The Point – Village On Ice
Christmas might be over but that doesn’t mean you can’t still enjoy some festive activities. Open until 11 January a trip to The Point Village On Ice (tickets from €10) is a great way to get the New Year off to a good start. As well as the ice rink, you can also enjoy the funfair and a piping hot chocolate and treats in the rink-side café.

Tommy Tiernan – Out Of The Whirlwind
One of Ireland’s favourite comedians will be keeping us in good spirits throughout January (2nd – 24th) in Dublin’s Vicar Street theatre. A night spent laughing at Tommy’s hilarious thoughts and observations on the world around us sounds like the perfect antidote to those January blues.
