You can travel for free on the Luas this Sunday but on one condition

All you need to do to get a free trip into Dublin City on the Luas this Sunday, November 27th, is to wear a Christmas jumper. Luas has teamed up with Dublin Town who are attempting to break the World Record for the most people wearing Christmas jumpers at the same time in the same place. The world record attempt will take place on O'Connell Street at 4pm on Sunday, November 27th. They are inviting people to come down wearing Christmas jumpers. They completed the same task last year but want to increase the numbers this year. Luas has offered anyone who is wearing a Christmas jumper free travel on the day. They've said:

"If you’re wearing a Christmas Jumper on Sun 27^th Nov, there is no need to buy a Luas ticket or Touch On your Leap Card at the Luas validator just hop on the tram. Luas staff will be checking tickets as normal so if you get asked for your ticket just show them your Christmas Jumper."

Dublin Town has also said that anyone wishing to take part but doesn't have a Christmas jumper can still come along on the day and make their own for free.
