Say hello to the ultimate foodie bucket list.

The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2016 have been announced at a prestigious awards ceremony in New York last night, with Osteria Francescana in Modena, Italy capturing the number one spot.

Head chef and owner of Osteria Francescana, Massimo Bottura, is renowned for his twists on traditional Italian culinary ingredients.

His menu includes deliciously executed classics such as tagliatelle with hand-chopped ragu and risotto cooked with veal jus.
