Fair warning: you may not sleep easily after you read this one.
A 19-year-old man visited China’s Chang’an Xiaobian Hospital recently after a persistent earache turned itchy and extremely painful.
Doctors in the city of Dongguan made a terrifying discovery when they examined the man, a factory worker known only as Mr. Li, finding that a cockroach had made its way inside the man’s ear canal.
Not only that, the insect had spawned a further 25 baby roaches.
The mother was believed to have been in Li’s ear for a number of weeks, mostly likely crawling in while the man was asleep.
Thankfully, doctors were able to remove the insects before they “destroyed” Mr. Li’s ear.
