Break the silence, break the stigma. We’ve seen hundreds of campaigns for Student Union elections, but one video has really struck a chord with thousands of people online this week. The campaign from St. Patrick’s College, Drumcondra is simple but effective. Reading “Mental illness is nothing to be ashamed of” the video tracks the loneliness and hopelessness that one in four students suffer from. Set to the powerful Hurt by Johnny Cash, the campaign’s tag line “break the silence, break the stigma” reaches out across all ages and all genders. Take a look here.
