In-flight safety announcements are BORING – very important but BORING.
Airlines have tried to create videos that are entertaining and creative and even hire Sports Illustrated swimsuit models for something sexy but that stuff can take a lot of time and money.
A Southwest Airlines stewardess sneaks in hilarious one-liners and turned the safety announcement into a stand-up routine. “Although that plastic bag may not inflate, you are receiving lots and lots of ‘gin’ — oxygen that is,” she quipped. “And if you’re traveling with small children — we’re sorry.”
