The future.
As we work towards becoming more fashion conscious, budget savy and eco-friendly, Urban Outfitters is right there with us and is making changes so its range of clothing is more accessible to everyone as well as sustainable too by offering a “rent and swap” service
Launching in the US this summer, Urban Outfitters will allow customers to rent up to six pieces of clothing from their instore brands each month including UO, Free People, Champion, Reebox and Fila. Customers can choose pieces to a combined total of $800 and rent the lot for just $88.

The subscription service will be called Nuuly and will also feature some rare and vintage designer pieces that you can too rent via your subscription.
Speaking of the new service, David Hayne, chief digital officer of URBN said:
“When paired with our proven ability to develop creative lifestyle brands, we believe Nuuly is uniquely positioned to deliver the dynamic subscription rental experience the modern customer desires.”
This would be perfect for special occasions when you just can’t justify a massive price tag.

Nuuly will also have an option for $65 a month to leave customers rent any three pieces with unlimited swaps from the brand’s plus, petite, tall and maternity range – yes to that.
And although this is currently just coming to the US, if it takes off there we can see it coming overseas real quick and we’re totally on board.
