This traditional name is an adorable choice for your baby girl
We can all agree that picking a baby name is no easy task, but there are some pretty beautiful options out there.
Do we go for a modern option or stick with a family name? What if we seek inspiration from nature or flowers and pick a name like Rosie, Lily, or River?
There are stunning Irish names or trendier American names we also love.
There are often too many options to sift through, but we can always rely on traditional names. They’re classics for a reason but have faded out of style with new parents.
Many new mums are drawn to more modern names, but it looks like old-fashioned girl names are making a comeback.
Researchers by SnappyWords confirmed that ‘old-lady names’ will make a comeback in 2024.
And there’s one favourite of ours featured on the list.
The name Betty is reportedly set to become increasingly popular with parents this year and we’re not one bit surprised.
Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively made the name popular again by naming their daughter Betty in 2019.
Betty is often used as a nickname for Elizabeth, but more and more new parents are using it as their child’s main moniker.
The name is of Hebrew origin and means ‘My God is plentiful’.
It’s also a fantastic Taylor Swift song if you’d rather have pop culture influence your baby name decisions.
What is your favourite traditional moniker?
