The Tour De France was temporarily paused today following a serious crash in which 20 cyclists were involved.
According to the Daily Mail, several of the cyclists including William Bonnet, Tom Dumoulin, Simon Gerrans and Dmity Kozontchuk were forced to retire from stage three of the race after sustaining injuries in the collision.
Fabien Cancellara, wearer of the Yellow Jersey, was also involved in the high-speed crash, which took place when the cyclists were travelling at approximately 50kms.
The stage was eventually won by Joaquim Rodriguez.
