How do you measure up?
A survey conducted by SpunOut.ie this week had some worrying results, finding that four in ten Irish youngsters go binge drinking every week.
They spoke to 747 young people aged between 15 and 24 and found that 40 per cent admitted to drinking six or more drinks on a night out.
Even more worrying – these nights out aren’t a one off, but rather are happening a few times a week.
Well, based on these results, our bros at JOE.ie decided to carry out a poll of their own, to determine what is normal drinking practice among readers.
Of the almost 4,000 respondents, 41 per cent admitted they consume 7 – 10 drinks on an average night out.
More than 35 per cent said they consume more than ten, and only 3 per cent said they guzzle between one and three alcoholic beverages on a night out.
